Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):
We have several social workers who are also warranted Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP), which means we are authorised (or approved) to act under the Mental Health Act 1983. Some of our AMHPs are able to undertake emergency, urgent and/or out-of-hour AMHP assessments for local authorities across England.
Two of our AMHPs have held the position of AMHP Lead, recognising their detailed understanding and management of AMHP services in England. We are open to discussing the development of cross-border arrangements for services seeking ad hoc AMHP work, and we offer payment by assessment option rather than by hourly rate, like traditional recruitment agencies.
