What is Continuing Healthcare (CHC)?
NHS Continuing Healthcare often shortened to just CHC or sometimes NHS CHC is a complete package of care and support that the NHS fully funds for people with a primary health need(s). This means that the NHS should meet and fund all the person's care needs and without charging the person a penny. Eligibility is based on an individual's healthcare needs, not a diagnosis and should be decided by a team of multi-health and care professionals.
Why use Social Worker Gary?
We are national leaders when it comes to NHS Continuing Healthcare appeals. Some of our staff even sit on the NHS England appeals panel, and we have expertise in this area beyond that of other CHC claims agents or services. Our Social Work Expert can support you on all matters relating to your NHS Continuing Healthcare journey at each appeal stage and will support you throughout the process. We adhere strictly to the National Framework, (revised in 2022) issued by the Department of Health and Social Care, which explains why we are so successful with our cases.
Why do you charge fees? I know some firms work on a "no win, no fee' basis?
We are not a claims management agent or legal provider of service, and taking up to 40% of any payments awarded as our fee is not compatible with our social work values. We believe that when a person has been unlawfully charged for their care, they should be reimbursed for as much of their costs as possible. We are honest and truthful when we do not judge your case as strongly as others may have, and we provide this for a fixed fee. You will have a named Social Worker expert who will review your case in detail and offer a scoping report with an appeals strategy. We have supported dozens of clients over the years to win back £100,000s of unlawful fees charged.
What are your fees?
Our service starts from £980 for a preliminary desk-based report and covers up to 1 full day of work with a named Social Worker. We recommend this service for retrospective appeals. A full independent assessment will take around 4 days, so our fees reflect this and start at £2,825. This covers a face-to-face evaluation with the person (at least 4-5 hours) and reviewing all the CHC report(s) submitted by other professionals within our skillset and expertise. This also covers a full independent report, addressing all domains and giving an independent rating. The report is comprehensive, details and a clear reflection of the person's health and care needs.
