All our assessments include the following as standard:
- A face-to-face meeting with the person being assessed (usually 1 - 2 hours) - we avoid remote assessments, as recent court decisions in 2023 and 2024 indicate there should be cogent and solid reasons for a remote-based capacity assessment.
- Consultation with any family members or professionals concerned with your care.
- Your assessment is returned free via email within 10 working days from the assessment date (excluding where additional evidence is required).
- A printed 'wet' signature and/or posted assessment is subject to postage and a small processing fee if this is required.
- A formal legal deceleration as to the report's independence and the author's qualifications.
- A certificate of capacity is provided at no additional charge.
- Reduced rate for follow-up work, such as the professional witness or Certificate Provider for a Power of Attorney.
- Reduced fee for seeking a Lasting Power of Attorney via our service.
